Herr's Sweet Onion Potato Chips - Review

Shhh....these chips are so addictive!
Having given up chips this year it was really, really hard not to want to try these.
I gave in and purchased a bag.
oh boy....
I was not sure what I was expecting but let me say they tasted just like a sweet onion.

Nice sweet flavor that is quickly followed up by the onion flavor.
Not over powering at all.
Before you know it - you are reaching in for another and another.
The chips are ridged, have a nice crunch and not very greasy.

Herr's Sweet Onion Potato Chips are a huge hit.
If you can find them, pick up a bag and give them a try.
Mmmm....

New Puppy...

Let me introduce you to Sasha.
Nate picked her out from a local humane society at the end of February.
(Notice how proud he is holding her.)
Since then nothing has been the same. :)

She is a cutie but can turn on a dime and be a handful to say the least.
We had her DNA tested and her results were quite interesting.
Purebred mix of  Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, (one parent)  German Shepherd and then a mix of Labrador, Pointer, Akita and Chihuahua (other parent).

Love this picture of her trotting around with a root that was pulled out - she thought she was hot stuff. lol

So tiny here.
She would blend into her pillow and we always asked where she was.
Now.. she takes up a hole chunk of the pillow.

In April she had so much fun sniffing the azaleas that were blooming.
Unlike when she has a thrill of digging out the flowers and other items that may have an insect/frog
that has caught her attention.
*sigh*

Growing up.
This was taken in May - she is getting much bigger.
Now to get her on track with her behavior and listening.
She loves to shake hands and high five but forget the sit/stay/down/off...
they seem optional to her. I have been working with her for 3 months now and pfft...
My fingers are crossed that one day we will wake up and things will click for her.

How could you not love her?
She is a bundle of HIGH energy but oh.so.loveable.

Sweet Jeep!

I am totally in love with my Jeep.
I had always wanted a Jeep - though a Wrangler - I am tickled pink.
This was my Mother's Day Gift due to us needing a new ride.
It is a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
What a sweet ride.
We really outgrew our PT Cruiser - Spencer was touching the roof and with another
addition to the family (puppy - more on that later) it was time.
Quiet, quiet, quiet ride..seriously we hear nothing when inside.
Bluetooth (so nice to be hands free), wonderful creature comforts and
we can go 580 miles on a tank!
Did I say it was quiet?
Happy Campers in this family.

Holy Cow are these Fila Skele-Toes comfortable!
I always wondered about them but never thought I would try them.
Guess again.
I am pleased as punch to have given them a try.
My feet do not feel tired when I wear them exercising or out and about.
They are super easy to put on and they do not feel weird at all.
Just thought I would share in case you were wondering about them.

Down East Blueberry Crisp

Now that blueberries are in season (or will be for those in other parts of the country) this is a quick, simple and really tasty treat to make.
I am not one for cobblers or pies (it's a texture issue with fruit) but this I must admit was great.
DH adores cobblers and pies - he also enjoyed this dessert.

Go get some fresh blueberries and whip this up.
You will not be disappointed.

A Wonderful Piano Find...

$25 is all we paid for this beautiful Wissner Piano!
Not kidding!

DH mentioned that he had always wanted to learn to play the piano two weeks ago.

Last weekend we were checking out or local Habitat For Humanity Resale store when we stumbled across this piano.
DH was instantly drawn to it.

Normally do not take pianos we were made an offer we simply could not refuse.
The piano was kept in the same family for over 100 yrs - the woman who it had belonged to needed to move into assisted living.
This piano was a gift from her aunt when she was 2 and of course it had belonged to the aunt previously.
It needs a good cleaning (inside), a new hammer and a tune up but then she is ready to be played.

We are still amazed that we paid only $25 but I am even more pleased that he has a wonderful Father's Day gift that he will really enjoy.

Hanging Head in Shame

Yikes... it has been 3 months since I have even logged in here.
Things have been all over the place with myself, family and life. You would think that with the app on my phone I would blog but sadly, no.
I have thought of many posts and items I have wanted to share but just never got there. *sigh*
Kiddos are out of school and I am trying to organize my time better so that I can blog again or get a few written up ahead of time and sharing again. :)
I miss my blog - it is a HUGE outlet for me.
Promise I will be better ( I think I have said that before) and get things on track again.

I have a cute surprise for you. :)
