Best Ever Banana Walnut Bread - Recipe

These yummy banana muffins were made earlier this week.
I was in search for a new recipe to try and add some left over holiday walnuts.
The recipe was easy to follow and created some wonderful results.
I made a tray of muffins and one loaf of bread with this recipe, it was just the right amount.

Banana Walnut Bread

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups light sour cream
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 bananas -- mashed
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup walnuts

  1. Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.
  2. Mix sour cream and baking soda together in a separate bowl and let stand until foamy.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to the above and mix well.
  4. Place into greased and floured muffin tins or two bread pans.
  5. Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Serving Ideas:
  • Nice cold glass of milk.
  • Great toasted with a tiny pat of butter.

NOTES :
  • This recipe was cut in half from the original.
  • I added the walnuts but you can omit them and save on calories.
  • Egg beaters and margarine are fine to use with the recipe.
  • I like to use the Bakers Joy Spray, it has the flour in it already.

you do a lot of baking wish I did but then again not really cause then I would gain more weight. I am trying to loose weight right now. Have a wonderful night..

Trust me, I do not need any baked goods. Baking to me is my zen time, relaxing and fun. :)
I end up freezing majority which is great when you want a tiny bit of something.
